We work for you.
Not the insurance company.
AceGreen is an independent insurance broker serving all of Ontario. We compare plans across Canada’s major carriers, explain them without the jargon, and stay in your corner when it’s time to claim.
- Independent broker
- Licensed in Ontario
- Plain-language advice
We compare the whole market, not one insurer
Licensed to serve every community in Ontario
We handle your claims when they go sideways
The coverage gap
OHIP covers a lot. It doesn’t cover this.
Ontario’s public plan handles doctor visits and hospital stays. Almost everything else — the costs that quietly add up over a year — comes out of your own pocket unless you have private coverage.
- Prescription drugs, if you’re under 25 or over 65 without a plan
- Dental — cleanings, fillings, major work, orthodontics
- Eye exams, glasses and contact lenses
- Physiotherapy, massage, chiropractic and mental health care
- Medical care the moment you leave the province
- Mobility aids, braces and home medical equipment
Who we help
Most of our clients have one thing in common: no workplace benefits plan doing this work for them.
Individuals & families
You’re paying full price at the dentist and the pharmacy. We find a plan that covers what your household actually uses — without paying for extras you’ll never claim.
Self-employed & small business owners
You’re the boss, which means you’re also the benefits department. We’ll show you what you can cover for yourself — and what changes once you have staff to look after too.
Many owners don’t realise how much of this can be structured through the business. That’s worth a conversation.
Seniors & retirees
Retirement is usually the moment a group plan disappears. We help you replace it — drug coverage, dental, and travel insurance that won’t leave you exposed on a trip south.
Why AceGreen
A broker who is actually on your side
There are two ways to buy insurance in Ontario: from a company that sells one brand, or from a broker who can recommend any of them. We’re the second kind.
Independent, not captive
We aren’t owned by an insurer and we have no quota to fill. If the best plan for you is with a company we’d earn less from, that’s still the one we’ll recommend.
We handle the claims
When a claim is denied or a reimbursement goes missing, you call us — not a 1-800 queue. Chasing it down is part of the service, for as long as you’re our client.
Plain language, no pressure
Deductibles, co-insurance, annual maximums, waiting periods — we translate all of it before you sign anything. And if the honest answer is “you don’t need this,” we’ll say so.
How it works
Three steps, and no obligation to buy
Most people go from first call to enrolled in under a week.
1
Tell us about you
Who needs covering, what you take regularly, whether you travel, and what you’re hoping to spend. Ten minutes on the phone or a form — your choice.
2
We compare the market
We shop your situation across the carriers we’re contracted with and come back with a short list, side by side, with the trade-offs spelled out.
3
You enrol — and we stay
We handle the paperwork and set the plan up. Then we’re your point of contact for renewals, changes and any claim that gives you trouble.
Coverage we arrange
Everything we can put in front of you
Not every client needs every one of these. Part of our job is telling you which ones are worth your money and which aren’t.
- Health & dental — the core plan most households start with
- Prescription drug coverage — including higher-tier and specialty drugs
- Vision — exams, frames, lenses and contacts
- Travel & emergency medical — single trip, multi-trip, and snowbird terms
- Critical illness — a lump sum if you’re diagnosed with a covered condition
- Life insurance — term and permanent
- Disability & income replacement — especially if you’re self-employed
What clients say
Real quotes from real clients go here — replace all three before this site goes live.
"Saved us thousands on dental and routine care."
“When my husband’s employer changed health plans, we were left paying out-of-pocket for our kids’ dental work and eye exams. AceGreen walked us through our options, simplified all the jargon, and found us an affordable family plan that covers everything we actually use.”
— Sarah M., Hamilton
"Essential guidance for independent business owners."
“As a self-employed contractor, I had no idea where to start with personal health and disability insurance. AceGreen made the process straightforward, answered all my questions, and set up a plan that gives me complete peace of mind while running my business.”
— David K., Toronto
"Seamless transition into retirement coverage."
“Retiring meant losing my group benefits, which was daunting with ongoing prescription needs and travel plans south. AceGreen compared multiple carriers to find us the best drug and emergency travel coverage, and they were there to help every step of the way.”
— Eleanor & Robert T., Ottawa
Questions
Straight answers
If yours isn’t here, ask us directly — we’ll give you the real answer, not a sales pitch.
Our compensation comes from the insurance carrier once a policy is placed, and it’s built into the premium either way — whether you buy through us or directly from the insurer. We’ll always walk you through how we’re paid on a plan before you commit to it.
No — the premium is the same. What changes is that buying direct gets you one company’s products and a call centre. Going through a broker gets you a comparison across several carriers and a named person to call when something goes wrong with a claim.
That depends entirely on your situation, and sometimes the honest answer is no. OHIP doesn’t cover dental, vision, most prescriptions between 25 and 65, paramedical care, or medical costs outside the province. If none of those are a real risk for you right now, we’ll tell you that.
Usually yes, though the terms vary a lot between carriers — some apply a waiting period, some exclude the condition, and some offer guaranteed-issue plans with no medical questions at all. This is exactly the situation where comparing several carriers matters most.
Quickly. Most group plans offer a conversion window — often around 60 days after your benefits end — where you can move to an individual plan without new medical questions. Miss it and you may have to answer a full health questionnaire. Call us before your last day if you can.
We’re licensed across Ontario and most of our work happens by phone, email and video, so where you are in the province makes no difference. If you’d rather sit down in person, just ask.
Let’s find out what you should actually be paying.
Send us a few details and we’ll come back with real options from real carriers. No obligation, no pressure.
